How to Use DayTicks Chrome Extension to Boost Your Productivity

Managing tasks and tracking your time has never been easier. With the DayTicks Chrome Extension, you can stay on top of your daily activities, categorize tasks with tags, and generate detailed reports—all without creating an account. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to maximize your productivity using DayTicks.

Step 1: Install DayTicks Chrome Extension

Start by downloading DayTicks from the Chrome Web Store. Once installed, you’ll see the DayTicks icon in your browser toolbar.

Tip: Pin the icon to keep it visible for quick access.

Step 2: Add and Manage Tasks

On the dashboard page, you can:

• Add Tasks: Enter your task, and assign a tag for categorization. Previously used tags will be suggested.

• Edit Tasks: Update task names or tags using the “Edit” button.

• Delete Tasks: Remove unwanted tasks using the “Delete” button.

• Toggle Task Status: Mark tasks as complete or incomplete by checking/unchecking the box next to each task.

Step 3: Use Timer Functionality

Track how long you spend on each task with DayTicks’ built-in timer:

• Start Timer: Click the “Start Timer” button to begin tracking.

• Stop Timer: Click “Stop Timer” to pause tracking.

Tip: Timers remain synchronized even when you switch tabs.

Step 4: View Your Daily Summary

At the bottom of your task list, you’ll find the Daily Summary, which provides:

• Total time spent on tasks.

• An overview of completed tasks for the day.

Step 5: Generate and Download Reports

For detailed insights, use the reporting feature:

• Generate Report: Click the “Generate Report” button to create a summary of tasks, including total tasks, completed tasks, and time spent.

• Download Report: Save your report as a PDF with the “Download PDF” option.

Note: Reports cannot be generated while a task timer is running.

Step 6: Clear All Tasks

To start fresh, click the “Clear All” button to remove all tasks from the dashboard. A confirmation prompt ensures no accidental deletions.
